In the heat of the Locsin-Robredo issue, a writer felt compelled to explain how the opposition played a big role in normalizing disrespect 'towards high officials' in the government.
Krizette Laureta Chu, a Manila Bulletin writer and a New York University alumna, made her two cents on the issue known to the public through her Facebook post.
According to Chu, who is also a staunch supporter of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte, it was the opposition senators like Trillanes, Hontiveros, and De Lima who "normalized rude remarks to high officials".
She also added that the said senators address the highest official in the country, the Chief Executive, as if he is just their "sacada".
However, Chu also pointed out that the top diplomat, foreign affairs secretary Teddyboy Locsin, should not speak that way to Vice President Leni Robredo.
"Not because she’s a woman but because she’s the Vice President and he’s her inferior in government hierarchy," she continued.
Further, Chu said in another post that Leni’s “boba-ness” was an open secret.
Below is Chu's complete Facebook post:
Locsin shouldn’t speak like that to Robredo, not because she’s a woman but because she’s the Vice President and he’s her inferior in government hierarchy.
He is wrong, but Leni’s LP has normalized rude remarks to high officials (see Trillanes and Hontiveros and de Lima addressing the President as if he’s their sacada), so we (and they) should understand why we now have this culture of disrespect in government.
In short, kasalanan pa rin nila for normalizing disrespect towards high officials in the land.
Meanwhile, in a separate Facebook post, Chu explained how Leni's “boba-ness” was an open secret:
For years, Leni’s “boba-ness” was an open secret in the digital sphere. Duterte and his officials never called Leni “boba” ever, despite Leni lying through her teeth at the UN, pulling statistics out of her ass, despite everything she ever said.
It took someone like Teddy Boy Locsin to tell her OFFICIALLY that she is. He said sorry, but it’s too late, damage has been done.
The Secretary of Foreign Affairs just blurted “boba” out and gave credence to what everyone says on social media.
Today would have to be declared “LENI BOBA DAY” to honor the official pronouncement of a major official.
