Mayor Isko on Drunk Korean: "Your drunkenness should be a problem of the government? That’s his problem. He was not neglected"

Kamakailan, matatandaan na nag-viral sa social media ang isang Korean national na nakitang nakahandusay sa kalye at napagkamalang isang biktima ng 2019 novel coronavirus, ngunit napag-alaman na siya pala ay walang sakit at nakatulog lamang sa kalye sa sobrang kalasingan.

Kasunod ng pangyayaring ito, nilinaw ni Manila City Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso
na nabigyan naman ng sapat na pangangalaga at atensyon ang Koreano matapos mapa-balitang walang sino mang tumulong dito noong oras na nakahiga ito sa kalye, sa takot na baka nga ito may coronavirus.

Paglilinaw ni Mayor Isko, tama lang din na hindi lumapit ang sino mang hindi espesyalista sa isang taong hinimatay sa kalye. 

“It is only right for you not to go near persons who collapsed on the streets because you are not specialists,” pahayag ni Yorme.

Dagdag din niya na kahit nais ng sino man na tumulong sa kapwa sa mga ganoong sitwasyon, mas makabubuti kung itatawag na lamang nila sa mga awtoridad upang matugunan ng wasto ang pangangailangan ng taong iyon.

“While it is true that you really wanted to help, helping in the right manner, proper manner, which is to immediately call authorities so that things will be coordinated properly, proper tools and equipment or proper person will address the matter,” ani Mayor Isko.

Ipinahayag din ng alkalde na hindi dapat problemahin pa ng gobyerno ang paglalasing ng sino man dahil ito ay isang kapabayaan na lamang sa sarili. Dagdag pa niya na mabuti nga at hindi pa nakulong ang turista.

“He neglected himself. Can you imagine, your drunkenness should be a problem of the government? That’s his problem. He was not neglected,” mariing sinabi ni Yorme.

“One person’s vice should not be the government’s problem. He should handle himself. It’s a good thing he was not jailed for that,” dagdag niya.
