Atty Paula Defensor-Knack, who claims to be the sister of late Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago exposed what she deemed to be lies of former Health Secretary Janette Garin whon said that it was Ted Herbosa who bought the infamous Dengvaxia vaccines in 2016.

Herbosa said Garin was the BAC Chair who procured the vaccines.

Dengvaxia became the content of several headlines after it was found that the vaccine which was administered to 733,000 school children since April 2016, is actually dangerous to those who never contracted Dengue before, and might have caused the deaths of children.

The government spent a total of 3.5 billion on the drug by Sanofi Pasteur.

Herbosa in his Facebook page denied that he was ever a BAC Chair and that it was Garin herself who made the deal.

This was shared by Knack in her Facebook page, and said that the purchase of Dengvaxia was irregular and not budgeted.

She also called on to the Department of Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre to investigate on the matter.

She called Garin a "liar".

"Sino kaya nagbayad kay Garin at hindi pinadaan sa private practitioners ang trial ng Dengvaxia?" she said.
