OFW video Facebook post hits Kadamay, photo screenshot from Facebook
An overseas Filipino worker lambasted the Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) in a video uploaded on Faceebook, telling them that the rightful way to earn money for themselves is through labor, and not setting up rallies to demand for government relief.

Mercy Sugandi, an OFW from Dubai, had her video shared by fb page Angat Pilipino, and in it she can be seen toiling.

She specifically dedicated the video to the Kadamay.

"Ganito po maghanap ng bahay, at kuryente, at tubig," she said, as she scrubbed the floor.

"Hindi yan makuhakuha sa laging pagrarally," she added.

In early March of 2017,thousands of Kadamay members occupied housing projects by the National Housing Authority in Pandi, Bulucan.

The houses were supposedly for Philippine National Police personnel and their families.

By April of that year, President Rodrigo Duterte declared that the Kadamay may occupy the units, and he promised policemen better houses if they don't assert their claims to the houses occupied by the group.

Since then, Kadamay has conducted rallies to ask for free housing from the government.

Sugandi now claims that there are plenty of people who are offended by the Kadamay.

"Maraming naiinis sa inyo. Wala ba kayong mga kamay? Wala ba kayong mga paa? Bakit kayo nagrarally, naghihingi ng libreng pabahay? Sino ba ang baliw?" she said.

She said that the Kadamay members are perfectly adequate and capable of finding employment, but she claimed that their "brains must be stuck in their buttocks", as they choose to rally instead.

"Naghihingi kayo ng libreng pabahay sa kay President, ano ba kayo sinuswerte? Samantala kami ditong mga OFW, nagsisikap kami para makita ng pambili ng bahay, at pambayad ng kuryente, ang kakapal ng mukha ninyo" Sugandi said.

"Ano bang pinaglalaban ninyo, katamaran?" she added.
