Kent Tangcalagan presented his analysis through an infographic which presented the bills filed from January to December 2017 in the Senate.
The project showed a quantitative picture of the senators’ work considering both regular sessions while ignoring earlier versions of the bills and resolutions filed (to avoid repetitive counts).
He added that it also attempted to show a qualitative picture of the bills and resolutions filed, approved (enacted into law or approved by both houses) and adopted through the senators' respective subjects.

According to statistics, the senators with the most bills filed and approved are Joel Villanueva, Cynthia Villar, Dick Gordon, Ralph Recto, Loren Legarda and JV Ejercito.
Much od the bills filed by Senators Villanueva, Villar, Recto and Legarda focused in filing bills related to education, ICT and economic affairs.
Meanwhile, Senators Gordon and Ejercito focused more in health and social welfare bills.
Hontiveros, Poe, Binay and Pacquiao each had one approved bill filed in the regular sessions.
Honasan and Trillanes so far, have no approved bills, according to Tangcalagan.
In terms of resolutions, senators with the most resolutions filed and adopted are Sotto, Pimentel, Zubiri, Gordon and Pacquiao. Majority of the resolutions filed are related to commendation and recognition. Senators Poe, Trillanes, Escudero, Legarda, Recto and De Lima had the least resolutions filed and adopted during the regular sessions.
The netizen who is based in Hungary, linked what he said was an excel file showing the details and which he said is downloadable from Google Drive (http://bit.ly/2zxfYHK).
"To emphasize again, this does not show the entire picture of the work among the senators but at most provide their constant progress and activity since the first regular session. Despite this limitation, I would most probably consider the active involvement of senators as one of the guidelines for the Senate elections in 2019," the netizen said, adding that there is still time for them to file more bills.
