After actress Maria Isabel Lopez was summoned to the Land Transportation Office for deliberately removing her car from the alloted lanes and used the lanes reserved for delegates of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit and boasted about it on social media, netizens fired criticisms at her.

This was heightened when the actress herself flaunted her actions in social media, which garnered a wave of criticisms from netizens.

Hindi sa lahat ng panahon maganda ang pagiging stupida," said a Nez Calibo on News 5's report posted on Facebook.

The report said that Lopez defended her actions, by saying that all others who also used the lanes should be reprimanded as well.

There were several more negative comments on the report.

"Tonta kung d ka nagyayabang makalusot ka sana... yabang mo kasi may pa upload upload ka pa e di yari ka... u gave them evidence for you to be prosecuted... kaya stop pointing fingers to anyone," said Carlo Gulanes.

A Mark Anthony Pino shared the same sentiment.

"Ay sus kahit sino pa idamay mo huli ka parin ang malas mo lang kasi nagmayabang ka pa sa facebook sa kabobohan mo.. buti nalang wla kang kasabay na delegates na baril kana sana sa ulo ng mga sniper as a threat to foreign leaders," he said.

Jhunie Avila, said that Lopez was the primary person to blame, evidenced by the fact that there are no cars in front of hers as shown in her post.

Ngayon solohin mo ang parusang nsrsrapat para," the netizen said.

Royal Guiang said that regardless of the number of violators, what is material is the fact that there was a clear violation on the actress' part.

The comments are increasing as of writing.

The actress later on apologized for the incident, saying "I'm just human."

Her license will be suspended, according to authorities.

According to the transportation department, Isabel Lopez committed the following violations:

Disregard of traffic signs, violation of the Anti Distracted Driving Act, and reckless driving.

LTO chief Edgar Galvante said that proper investigation procedures will be observed, and that their office will ensure that their decision will be “anchored on the truth, and adherence to the rule of law.”

Several motorists did follow the route of the actress after she disobeyed the traffic rules.
