A netizen on Facebook shared a photo of a soldier who after having fought in Marawi, was injured heavily in his head, and yet when asked, said that he is still willing to fight for the country.

The man in the post of one Emily Padilla is Private First Class Harry Alcantara whose head appears to have been injured heavily and stitched.

"Private First Class HARRY ALCANTARA is from Rizal, Nueva Ecija. He got his "hair band" (naka stapler lang) from a bomb explosion in Marawi City. He had to be operated at Camp Evangelista Station Hospital to remove the shrapnels from his head."

"I asked him, Harry, kung tayo ba ay sasabak uli sa laban, sasama ka pa ba?" He said without blinking an eye, "Opo.""

The netizen thanked the man whom she believed to be worthy of tribute.

"Salamat sa pagmamahal sa ating bayan. Isa kang bayani, ipinanganak sa Rizal - bayang ipinangalan sa ating pambansang bayani at sa dugo mo'y nananalaytay ang dugo ng ating bayani Dr. Jose Rizal.Salute to you, Kabayan," the post read.

The post went viral, earning over 20,000 likes in two days.

The Marawi siege was a five-month long armed conflict  between the government forces and the Maute Group associated ISIS.

The battle left nearly 3000 dead and wounded, with some persons still missing.
