A former broadcaster on his Facebook page, told Senator Antonio Trillanes that he couldn't order Presidential Communications Operations Office Assistant Secretary Mocha Uson.

Jay Sonza, the anchor of talkshow “Mel and Jay” alongside Mel Tiangco, said that Uson is neither a soldier, nor a member of the judiciary, but rather a presidential appointee who serves under the appointing power, and can therefore not be told what to do.

"If the president is not happy with her doings. He can ask her to resign or get fired. THIS IS A POLITICAL REALITY WORLDWIDE."

Trillanes has previously filed criminal charges against the Asec for allegedly spreading fake news that owned offshore bank accounts for  his unlawful acts.

"The era of fake news is over. Lahat ng magkakalat ng fake news ngayon ay mananagot sa ating batas. So ‘yan ang dapat matutunan ng lahat ng nagkakalat ng fake news (Everyone spreading fake news will be held liable under the law. That's a lesson for all people spreading fake news )," the senator said in an interview with media after he filed the complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman.

Meanwhile, Sonza defended Uson's right to expression.

"As to the expression of her personal opinion, that is her own look out. Pag may naapakan siya eh di kasuhan. This anyone can do, for as long as no government facilities or monies are involve in the proces," he said.

"Freedom of Expression is a Constitutional GUARANTEE," he added.

Trillanes on Wednesday said that the criminal cases against Uson on libel and gross misconduct will push through.

On the Senate hearing on fake news, the Asec was fired at by senators especially Senators Bam Aquino  and Nancy Binay who reprimanded her for her Facebook posts.
