Maharlika reveals Los Angeles event is actually a fund raising for Leni

The Facebook page "Maharlika" on Monday posted that an event in Los Angeles that is made known to be a gala benefit dinner for the Filipino American Symphony Orchestra is actually a fund raising activity for Vice President Leni Robredo.

The FB page suggested that the event "A Night of Symphony" was a cover up because the invitation that was spread  had the name of Robredo as the guest of honor, while in  the website of FASO, her name cannot be found anywhere.



"Fund raising po ito para kay Robredo pero pinalalabas lang na para sa Filipino American Symphony Orchestra. (FASO). Malinaw na panggantso ito. Dahil sa website ng FASO, hindi inilagay ang pangalan ni Robredo as guest, pero sa actual invitation card , nakalagay ang nakakasuka niyang pangalan," the Maharlika page said.

FASO Foundation's website promoted the event to occur in June 17 at the estate of Hollywood legend Mary Pickford in Hancock Park, Los Angeles.



FASO board member Edwin Raquel will sponsor the event which is aimed to "raise funds to sustain FASO’s concerts and music education programs."

In the event, FASO’s first Excellence in Music awardees and distinguished contributors to the pioneering orchestra’s mission and objectives will be honored.

"In addition, guests will have the opportunity to bid on unique auction items, including a week’s stay at an apartment on Champs-Élysées in Paris; a round-trip ticket to Manila via Philippine Airlines plus a trip to Coron, Palawan; a stay at the Handumanan estate in Kalibo, Aklan, with complimentary river cruise and sightseeing to coincide with the popular Ati-Atihan Festival, and a stay at Boracay; and a chance to conduct FASO, no less," the post in the website read.

The gala is sponsored by Bank of Hope, Pacific Western Bank, Silver Saddle Ranch & Club, LBC, Omni Hotel, Kanstul Instruments, Philip Stein watch, and the Philippine Department of Tourism.
