Ano ka ngayon Kiko? Lacson says if Napoles is state witness, many lawmakers might go to jail

With the possibility of Janet Lim Napoles becoming a state witness in the re-investigation of the Department of Justice on the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF), Senator Panfilo Lacson said that many lawmakers may go to jail.

This is contrary to the previous statement of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan that Napoles should not be used as state witness as he claimed that she was the "mastermind" behind the scam.

"Mastermind ang tawag 'dun at hindi dapat pumayag ang korte na maabswelto siya," Pangilinan said in a statement.



Lacson said the lawmakers may face imprisonment if the pork barrel mastermind is given the chance to testify.

“I’ll just not mention names but remember Mrs. Napoles shared with me when I was still Yolanda coordinator. She shared the list through the husband and the son,” Sen. Panfilo Lacson said.

He said his concern is that the case may be transferred to the authority of the Philippine National Police.

“My worry here is that when Mrs. Napoles starts pointing fingers, the quorum might be transferred to Crame. It might not be held anymore at the Senate or at the House. We might do the roll call at Crame,” Lacson added.

Stephen David, Napoles' lawyer said that she is willing to cooperate with DOJ on the matter.



He confirmed that more officials will be named.

“If she will become state witness, she should tell everything she knows... whoever is involved should really be exposed. Whatever the truth is, it should come out. Because the truth will set you free,” he said.

He said that Napoles is being threatened and harassed even in her jail cell and is receiving written threats.

“There were instances when her belongings were scattered inside her cell as if looking for something and almost every night she started feeling uneasy for she felt someone is intently watching her,” David said.
