Fearless netizen fires at Leni's suggestion to legalize shabu: 'You moron!'
A netizen hit Vice President Leni Robredo in her Facebook account, as she rebutted the VP's argument that in order to cure the country of its problem, illegal drugs must be decriminalized.

Hill de Roberts who is based in Spain, said that there is an absence of logic in comparing Portugal to the Philippines.

She noted that Portugal has a population of 10.2 million while the Philippines has over 100 million people.

De Roberts noted that this tactic will not work in the country, which she claims is now a primary producer of drugs in the world.

Portugal started this move fourteen years ago. To put it simply, any man found to be addicted to theillegal drugs were medically treated and not considered criminals.

"Portugal was never a transit point for illicit drugs, unlike Spain. Spain does have a problem with drug trading since it is one of the most open countries in the world especially after it joined the EU in 1986, which triggered a boom in housing development, tourism and of course drugs," she said.

She said that the legalization of drugs in the Philippines would require the deaths of all involved in the trade.

"Indeed, if one were to legalize drugs in the Philippines, it'd have to kill all those involved in the setting up of shabu factories and that means having BS Aquino charged with the manufacture, trade and distribution of shabu since the second biggest shabu factory which was recently discovered and dismantled was built right in his constituency of Tarlac," she said.

Robredo previously suggested the move, stating Portugal as an ideal example.

She also criticized the tactics of President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs as she said it would soon prove detrimental to fight the trade with violence, citing Mexico as an example.

"But back to your suggestion of legalizing shabu. No, Leni, not that one, you moron!" de Roberts said.
