Atty Trixie Cruz-Angeles from the University of the Philippines argued on Vice President Leni Robredo's argument to legalize Methamphetamine in the country, and advised her to review the principles of criminal law, as she is a lawyer herself.

Cruz-Angeles said that "Shabu" which it is commonly called, has an effect on a person's mental health. She said it paves the way for violent crimes.

She said that the drug has no good effect on the body, thus it cannot be regulated.

She insisted on legalizing other drugs that have benefits.

The lawyer said that should the drug be decriminalized, all those imprisoned for drug-related crimes will be pardoned and released.

The Vice President has been actively the methods of President Rodrigo Duterte who recently had her removed from her position in his Cabinet.

Since then, Robredo has been voicing out against the war against drugs.

"Madame VP, paki review ang criminal law principles po," Cruz-Angeles said.
