Leni's claims of no cheating only drama, says PET lawyer

Presidential Electoral Tribunal lawyer Glenn Chong in his Facebook account stated that Vice President Leni Robredo is only pulling a script when she says that she had no power at all to cheat in the last May elections.

Chong said that Robredo's implication that her opponent Bongbong Marcos who filed an electoral protest against her, was the one who had the power to commit cheating.



He said the Liberal Party which Robredo ran under had every power to control the elections and manipulate the machines used in the elections.

"KATOTOHANAN: Ang partido ni Robredo (LP) ang solidong may hawak ng kapangyarihan ng maganap ang halalan. Katunayan, malakas ang kanilang makinaryang politikal mula sa ibaba hanggang sa itaas, at mula Luzon hanggang Mindanao," he said.

"Katunayan, ang chairman at ang lahat ng 6 komisyoner ng COMELEC ay itinalaga sa pwesto ni Mr. Aquino na siyang ulo ng LP. Katunayan, bilyong-bilyong piso mula sa Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) at ang pumalit nito na Bottoms-Up Budgeting (BUB) ang ginamit para sa halalan. Malinaw ang kontrol ng partido ni Robredo sa mga lokal na opisyal, sa COMELEC at sa pera," he added.

He said that there were no elections that occurred in Basilan, Mindanao and Lano del Sur as the ballots had "shades" already and that local politicians threatened voters into not voting.

"Pinapalabas ni Robredo na walang sapat na ebidensiya si BBM dahil sa 662 bayan na pinoprotesta niya, 57 lang ang may affidavits. Nagtatanong si Robredo kung bakit walang affidavits mula sa natitirang mga bayan. Iginiit niya na kung meron mang ebidenisya si BBM, ipakita niya ito sa korte."



He said Marcos didnt need to present all available evidence now as under Rule 17 of PET, nnot all evidence need to be presented immediately.

"Pinapalabas din ni Robredo na mas makabubuti sa kanya kung mangyari na ang recount ngayon upang matanggal na ang mga pagdududa sa kanyang mandato. Sinisisi niya si BBM sa pagkaantala ng protesta dahil ngayong Enero 2017 lang ito nagfile ng mosyon upang magkaroon na ng preliminary conference," he said.

"Ayon sa Rule 37 ng PET, sa loob ng 48 oras mula ng matanggap ang sagot at counter-protest ni Robredo ay dapat magpalabas ang PET ng retrieval order upang kolektahin ang lahat ng mga ballot boxes na saklaw ng protest at counter-protest. Natanggap ng PET ang sagot at counter-protest ni Robredo noong 15 Agosto 2016," he added.

He also said that Robredo's drama that she is being bullied by Marcos' supporters is just an act to win public sympathy.

He challenged Robredo and her lawyer Romulo Macalintal to court to be proven wrong.

" Ito ay isang dakilang drama, kasinungalingan at pagkukubli lamang! Gumagamit din ng propaganda machinery si Robredo tulad ni JC Punongbayan at iba pa, at mainstream at online media tulad ng Rappler upang ibenta ang kanyang bersyon na walang dayaan. " he said.
