Lawyer and election watchdog to Leni: 'Of course BBM won't accept loss, he really won'
Former congressman Atty. Glenn Chong, member of the Automated Election Systems Watch on Friday answered Vice President Leni Robredo's accusation that her running opponent, Senator Bongbong Marcos is unable to accept defeat from the recent elections.
Chong stated that there was no defeat to accept since it was really Marcos who won.
Robredo compared the situation with the election that occurred between Ferdinand Marcos and Cory Aquino 31 years ago, which she said the family just couldn't accept.
“Ito po, confirmed na natin ito, na ‘yung ating katunggali noong nakaraang eleksyon, na ayaw tanggapin ang kaniyang pagkatalo, patuloy na umaasa na siya ay uupo," she said while encouraging the public not to give way.
Chong replied, "Matagal na pong kumpirmado sa isipan ng tao na hindi talaga tatanggapin ni BBM ang kanyang pagkatalo dahil hindi naman talaga siya natalo."
He said the position was stolen from him through the conspiracy of the Liberal Party and the Commission on Elections, along with Smartmatic.
He said evebn the public hasn't fully accepted the victory of Robredo and was suspicious about the result as well.
He also said that the fraud of Marcos in 1986 has to be proven, as the only evidence of that was when tabulators of results walked out, which he said could also be an act from the LP.
"Hindi si BBM ang nagwalanghiya sa resulta ng eleksyon. At hindi babaligtarin ang resulta ng eleksyon. Ipapalabas lamang namin ang totoong resulta na winalanghiya ng mga mandaraya. Baka hindi pa ninyo nalaman ang buong istorya ng dayaan. Pinaupo lamang kayo na parang reyna na walang alam," Chong said.
He said that if the Senate would call for a heqaring, the truth will be revealed.
