“I accuse you guilty, so prove your innocence, is the new normal among psychopaths.”
This was the quote attached to a photo of Senator Antonio Trillanes posted on Saturday, February 18, by public relations expert Ado Paglinawan on Facebook.
Paglinawan, a former official at the Philippine embassy in Washington DC, criticized the “dubious” PR campaign set forth by “yellow” personalities in an attempt to stain President Rodrigo Duterte.
In his post, Paglinawan involved Trillanes, Vice President Leni Robredo, Senators Leila De Lima, Frank Drilo, Risa Hontiveros, and Kiko Pangilinan in throwing “poison balls.”
Such “poison ball,” as Paglinawan puts it, are played in the game by “paid media” as the senators “bounces it [poison balls] back and forth.”
But this “antiquated” tactic has been changed by social media which allows “third parties” to intercept “messages.” Paglinawan said, “Some of them [third parties] pour their own inputs to the process, more often resulting into some other crystallization far from originally intended.”
Towards the end, Paglinawan quipped at mainstream media organizaions such as ABS-CBN, the Philippine Daily Inquirer, and the Philippine Star for being “predators against the Duterte government.”
“No longer if but when push comes to shove, i expect these three vociferous foils for poison balls, to be the first to go down the
drain,” he ended.
