Marketing expert: ‘Lascañas’ retraction is garbage’
Just hours after the resurfacing of the Davao Death Squad issue, marketing expert Maricar Serrano stated that the claim of retired SPO3 Arturo Lascañas about the said death squad is “garbage.”
“So 'yang presscon ekek nya na he is retracting his statement... basura na yan. Cos walang weight yan. Hindi yan under oath,” Serrano wrote on Facebook.
In a press conference early Monday, February 20, Lascañas claimed that he was once a part of the infamous Davao Death Squad that ran under the orders of President Rogdrigo Duterte who was then mayor of Davao City.
Serrano recalled that last year, Lascañas denied the existence of the DDS, under oath, in the Senate.
“Malinaw na additional ka-sh*t-an lang yan ng mga kulay eb*k na busy mag-organize ng kanilang annual EDSA rally bullsh*ts. Kung lahat ng headlines ng paid media eh papansinin at ikangangarag nyo... eh talo kayo,” Serrano vehemently stated.
Towards the end, the marketing expert quipped at televisions networks that, according to her, chose to air Lascañas’ claim over the launch of the helpline for OFWS.
“Sayang lang yan sa kuryente. Uminom kayo ng vitamins na pampa-nourish ng common sense. Giatay,” she ended.
