Duterte Youth Chairman Ronald Cardema finally spoken about the group's confrontation with Jim Paredes, the staunchest critic of President Duterte.
"Iniisip nalang namin, "Bakit kami matatakot? Kami 'yung kabataang sumusuporta sa Pangulo ng Pilipinas," Cardema said.
On February 25, 2017, Paredes berated the said group at the EDSA anniversary rally at the People Power Monument.
"Wala naman kaming sinusuportahang kriminal, drug lord o kahit anong terorista o armed group sa bansa. Ang sinusuportahan namin, Pangulo ng bansa," Cardema added.
"Kung may dapat matakot, si Jim Paredes 'yun at 'yung grupo niya dahil sa sa ginawa niya sa amin," he ended.
On Cardema's Facebook account he said that their group is raising 1 MILLION MEMBERS THIS 2017.
Their aim is to defend President Duterte and help the PNP/AFP catch drug addicts/pushers & suspected terrorists/criminals in every barangay.
"At the start of the New Year, the Duterte Youth, the pro-government youth group, announced their main direction this 2017, which is to recruit 1 Million members, with at least 1,000 members in each Philippine municipality and 5,000 members in each Philippine city, who will loyally defend Philippine Strongman Rodrigo Roa Duterte from any ouster plots and political tirades, and for its members to assist the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police in catching drug addicts & pushers, rapists, suspected terrorists, and criminals in their barangays," Cardema wrote.
