Just before he left for the launch of the Bureau of Internal Revenue's (BIR) tax campaign for the year 2017, President Rodrigo Duterte gave scathing remarks for the country's top billionaires saying, "P***** I** kayo, bumayad kayo. 'Pag hindi, patayin ko kayo."
Duterte emphasized the need to pay the right amount of tax since it is essential to "run the government."
Politcs.com.ph reported that Duterte said the "menacing word" during the inauguration of a garden at the Malancanang Park on February 6.
Following the inaauguration, President Duterte was set to meet with some of the wealthiest businessmen in the Philippines at the Philippine International Convention Center for the BIR launch
It can be remembered that during his campaign, President Duterte promised to name big-time businessmen who will fail in paying the correct amount of tax.
