The Ateneo de Manila University faculty member quipped at de Lima for her refusal to be arrested inside the Senate, which as Tiquia puts it, the very "institution you [de Lima] destroyed in 9 months."

Tiquia also commented on the media interviews that de Lima did after news of the release of her arrest warrant broke out.

"You insisted you were ready to get arrested: did 2 media events, one with people willing to join you in jail and another with those handcuffs
," she wrote on her Facebook account.

She then brought up how the Rule of Law was "distorted" and "tilted" for then Chief Justice Renato Corona's crimes.

Tiquia shared, "They used machinations to pin CJ. They got him on the SALN. Most of the legislators then had a chance to rectify their SALNs. CJ was not given the chance to do that."

In 2012, the late Corona was the first magistrate in the country to be impeached for "betrayal of public trust" for discrepancies in his Statement of Assets and Liabilities and Net worth (SALN).

"Let the same Rule of Law they used be the Rule of Law applied to the freshman Senator, first to be arrested for violation of  RA 9165," Tiquia ended.
