When Philippine National Police Chief Ronald Dela Rosa punished rogue police officers into doing pushups, a lot of people expressed their criticism towards such move. But in defense of the PNP Chief, Ateneo de Manila University alumus Francis Abraham called out the detractors for “laughing at Bato and the government.”
In a Facebook post, Abraham asked the naysayers, “Do you want the government to fail?” adding that the complains make them sound “like a bunch of puny little demonic imps.”
The Ateneo alumnus revealed that he did his research, which showed that the cops have been relieved from service and cases have been filed against the 44 cops.
He even emphasized that push-ups are considered form of humiliation in the military and police field.
In the end, Abraham encouraged the detractors to “learn to do constructive criticisms and pray that our government succeeds in their efforts” and stop stop acting like “spoiled little brats.”
Abraham also emphasized that the drug problem has been existing for a long time and did not just spurt up during President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration.
