Robredo accuses Duterte of creating hate between church and government

Vice President Leni Robredo has given yet another comment on President Rodrigo Duterte, this time focusing on his dealings with the church, which she says is unproductive and causes hate.

Robredo in an interview with reporters in Camarines Sur, said that Duterte's remarks on the clergy is in no way helping the country.

“Iyong comment laban sa mga kaparian hindi ito nakakatulong dahil nag-cecreate ito ng animosity between the government and the Catholic Church,” she said.

“Ang aking pagnanais, irespeto ang pagkakaiba ng paniniwala pero maghanap ng mga paraan kung papaano makakapagtulungan," she added.

Robredo highlighted the importance of faith and unity of government with the church.


“Sana hinahanapan natin ng, marami tayong mga iba-ibang paniniwala pero sana ang binibigyan natin ng pansin iyong mga puwede nating pagtulungan,” she added.

Robredo has been more vocal about her oppositions toward the President, after he removed her from her Cabinet position.
