Netizen posts image of Duterte flying economy, "If he can, why can't Leni?"

The Vice President's preference for business class flights caused her failure to return home for typhoon victims.

Davao citizen Monching Lumantas on his Facebook account criticized Vice President Leni Robredo for failing to go back home from the United States and help typhoon Nina victims because she couldn't get tickets.

He said Robredo was unable to go home because she wanted to purchase business class tickets and got waitlisted.


"If VP Leni Robredo's alibi that she can't get a ticket on her flight back home last month at the height of the typhoon that hit Bicol, here's a tip...don't fly on business class and get a waitlisted number," he said.


Lumantas, a firm supporter of  President Rodrigo Duterte, posted an image of him flying economy class, and said that that's what the  his VP should have done as well.

"President Rodrigo Duterte was like an ordinary chance passenger when he took an economy class seat at the rear end of a commercial aircraft bound for Manila earlier tonight," he said.

"If the most powerful man in this country can do it, why can't she?" he added.
