Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday said that she is saddened by the fact that President Rodrigo Duterte chose to believe false information about her attending rallies calling for his ouster.

Robredo said she even turned down invitations to join the rallies against the hero's burial for Ferdinand Marcos.
She said she declined to attend because she was still a member of Duterte's cabinet by then.
Duterte previously mentioned that he no longer wanted to work with Robredo because she was allegedly joining the conspiracy to oust him.
The President said the last straw for him was Robredo’s supposed presence in demonstrations against the hero’s burial for Marcos.
Robredo was not present at the major anti-Marcos rallies held at Luneta Park and the People Power Monument although she was at the annual honoring of heroes at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani.
According to Robredo, Duterte's belief that she was joining ouster rallies showed his lack of trust.
"Iyong Cabinet post kasi position of confidence iyon. Kailangang buo ang tiwala sa akin ng Pangulo pero kung ganoon ang kasinungalingan na pinaniwalaan, gustong sabihin na iyong tiwala sa akin napakababa so wala na ring point,” she said.
