Lawyer: Hold PNoy accountable for 44 deaths but Duterte should also be accountable for 7,000

Atty Jesus Falcis is his Facebook post, reminded the people that President Rodrigo Duterte must be accounted for the death of seven thousand Filipinos, in light of the recent investigation he ordered for the death of 44 soldiers in Mamasapano two years ago.

Duterte revealed that he was "pissed off" by how former President Benigno Aquino III handled the situation and blamed him along with former Philippine National Police Chief Alan Purisima for what happened.

The President has recently ordered a seven-man commission to look into the investigations.

While Falcis concedes with the need to hold Aquino accountable, he says one must not forget that Duterte has blood in his hands too.

"Honestly, PNoy is liable for Mamasapano - especially for allowing Alan Purisima (who was suspended by the Ombudsman at that time) to oversee the operation and bypass the other chains in the command (the acting PNP Chief and DILG Sec. Mar Roxas)," he said.


He said Duterte's day will come.

"Hold PNoy accountable for 44 deaths. But we will also hold you accountable Digong - for 7,000 deaths and counting," Falcis said.
