Grammy award-winning singer James Taylor on Wednesday cancelled a February 2017 concert in the country in what he said was a protest against the extrajudicial killings in the country from President Rodrigo Duterte's drug war.
“I don’t think of my music as being particularly political but sometimes one is called upon to make a political stand,” the US star said.
However, a source on Thursday revealed that the concert actually had poor sales.
Edwin Jamora on his Facebook page posted the status of the ticket sales and it showed that less than fifty percent of the tickets have been sold.
He said he wqas blocked from the Facebook page for the concert after pointing out that the sales were lousy.
