DOJ Prosecutor to "yellows": Even sick Duterte is better than your healthy Noynoy
Department of Justice prosecutor Darwin Cañete gave a message to the members of the Liberal Party or "yellows" who were going on about President Rodrigo Duterte's illness: he is even better than healthy Noynoy.
Noynoy, or President Benigno Aquino III is the candidate of the party and was the president before Duterte.
Cañete said that even though Duterte is admittedly sick and of old age, his achievements are far better than Aquino's.
"President Duterte appointed achievers like Gina Lopez, Secretaries Piñol, Taguiwalo, Evasco, passed a national budget, curbed crime, charted an independent foreign policy, strenghtened the morale of our security forces and we look forward to a super charged economy with lower taxes and massive corrupt-free infrastructure spending." he said.
He claimed that the opposition no longer had anything to attack him with, so they only focused on his illness.
The 71-year-old President also told business leaders that he has Buerger's disease, which causes blockages in the blood vessels and is often associated with smoking.
He is also suffering from Migraine and stomach aches.
Cañete claims that despite this, Duterte has been able to pass many reforms.
"You know what this means right? That even an alleged sick and debilitated President Duterte is better than your Noynoy in full health. Get it?" he said.
