Freddie Aguilar to James Taylor: If you really cared for PH, use concerts sales to build drug rehabs
Singer Freddie Aguilar on Friday said that if international performer James Taylor truly cared for the country, he should have used the money earned from his concert to build rehabilitation centers for drug addicts in the country.
Taylor recently cancelled his concert set on February because he doesn't tolerate the ongoing extrajudicial killings of drug suspects as a result of President Rodrigo Duterte's war against drugs.
He said he wanted to take a "political stand".
Taylor said that these killings are "unacceptable" and promised to refund all the tickets that were bought.
This is what made Aguilar react on his Facebook account.
"Hey, James Taylor! If you really care for the illegal drugs problem in my country. You should put up a rehab center for the drug addicts and you should also donate your talent fee to the drugs rehab center," Aguilar said.
Meanwhile, Taylor said that his concerts in other Asian countries will not be affected. and will go on as scheduled.
