Trillanes says unlike Duterte, P-Noy opened doors for the truth

Senator Antonio Trillanes III when asked what the difference was between President Rodrigo Duterte and Former President Benigno Aquino III, he said the latter "opened doors for the truth".

The senator claimed thaat Aquino was clean and did not force testimonies.

“President Aquino didn’t lift a finger para lang ipitin yung mga nagli-lead ng investigations or at least magbigay ng pabuya doon sa mga magde-defend sa kanya. Walang ganun,” Trillanes said Tuesday night.

“Kumbaga, if you’re after the truth, he opened his doors,” he said.

He said Duterte on the other hand, orchestrated the downfall of his enemies, including his critic, Senator Leila de Lima.

De Lima was then heading a Senate Inquiry on the extrajudicial killings pinpointed at Duterte's war against drugs.


“If you really believe that your president is clean, then let the committee exhaust all measures to get to the bottom of the truth. And if they can’t find anything, then it’s to the detriment of the committee chairman,” noted Trillanes.

He  claimed that under Duterte. the senate has lost its independence.
