Sass Sasot slams Regina Belmonte: "You're only a writer because your family owns the agency"
Duterte supporter Sass Sasot lashed on writer Regina Belmonte who she claimed only retained her position as writer for The Philippine Star because her family owns the news agency.
She claimed that besides her friends, nobody else reads Belmonte's articles.
Meanwhile, she supported Mocha Uson who will be writing for the Philippine Star.
Belmonte, whose father Miguel, is the president of the newspaper, lashed out and called Uson "garbage" in her Twitter account, after finding out that the latter will be writing.
She said many will actually listen to Mocha.
"It's the difference between being born into an influential family and having actual relevance and 4 million worth of influence." she said.
"Regina, it's time to ask yourself who you are without your last name." she added.
She even presented the traffic of the readership of Belmonte.
She said that all of Belmonte's articles from the Philippine Star gathered very little readership for the entire year.

She questioned who let her stay in the newspaper despite her poor performance.
Belmonte's articles gathered 132 tweets, 277 Facebook shares and 195 Facebook likes in total for 2015-2016.
"If you were not a Belmonte girl, you would have been fired from the Philippine Star", she said.
