Senator Leila de Lima who has been accused of having an affair with her driver Ronnie Dayan and using him as an accomplice to proliferate drug trade within the New Bilibid Prison recently admitted to the first accusation.
De Lima however, claims that her affair does not prove her involvement with drug trade.
Former chief of Interior and Local Government Rafael Alunan III said that her admission was a first step.
"It's developing slowly but surely to ensure an air-tight case with no opening for escape. In any case, you committed a crime of moral turpitude with your driver, a married man with children, that you admitted publicly to have an affair with, on nationwide tv." he wrote.
He reminded De Lima that she was a public official and Dayan was her subordinate
He said that this was "surprising" coming from her, who was Secretary Justice.
"As to your drug links, the testimonies of drug lords, dead and alive, are the foundations of the case build-up leading to your eventual prosecution and conviction, Madam Leila Dilemma, as a narco-politician."
He told her not to worry, for "Justice will be done".
