DOJ prosecutor to De Lima: Don't use women to excuse your own stupidity

Department of Justice prosecutor Darwin Canete gave a message to Senator Leila de Lima: Don't use women to excuse yourself of your own stupidity and weakness.

De Lima said the relationship was caused by her caving in to the "frailties of a woman".
"Leila, yung libog mo, sa iyo lang iyon. Idadamay mo pa ang kababaihan sa kalokohan mo. "Kahinaan" ng mga babae kamo? Madami akong babaeng kilala at nirerespeto na hindi nagpakita ng katangahan." he wrote.

"You own up to your own weakness. Don't blame your gender..in the words of my feminist friend..you need to "woman-up."" he added.

He said that the senator's excuse is an insult to women's capacity to be strong and show god judgment.

He said that should the statement have come from a man, he would have been called sexist and a misogynist.


"Leila's admission suspiciously sounds like the tune from Godfather. You know, the one that plays when massive deaths get displayed onscreen."

While De Lima admitted the affair, she denied the allegations of her and Dayan's involvement with narcopolitics.
