"Utang na loob matagal na pong hindi komunista and China. Maging ang Russia. Ibinaon na po ang Cold War. Tapos na po ang panahon ng Huk." he said.
The Cold War occured after World War II when militiray tensions formed between the Western Bloc headed by US and its NATO allies, and the Eastern Bloc comprised of the Soviet Union and its allies.
Contreras claimed that China is now a capitalist.
He said it has long stopped being a communistic nation.
He asked the people to stop suggesting that an alliance with China would make the country a communistic one.

That's true. Communism no long exist in these countries, Russia and China. The fact that China has superceded the US in the global economy and as the biggest trade market today would dispel the ideal of communism. The US economic and trade borrowings from China has reached $1.85 trillion reflects the Chinese as more of a capitalistic empire than of a communistic regime. Russia on the other hand had stopped being a socialist country. They have have opened their doors for economic trading and partnerships with other eastern countries in Europe. Only the Yellowtwats would assert that Pres. Duterte's decision to accept China and Russia as new economic allies would say that Philippines has turned to lean on communism. What rubbish idea.
