Intrepid netizen on US embassy incident: No criminal liability for police

A netizen reacted on the recent riot between the Philippine National Police and the Indigenous groups rallying outside the United States Embassy.

Dozens of IP's and policemen were injured in the incident.

The police however, took much of the blame. Several uprisings contradicting and questioning the "violent" reaction of the PNP towards the IPs.

The reason for the assault was the lack of a permit to rally in the rallyists' part.

 Gerald Infante in his Facebook account said, "Ang pagtungton g ng leader nila (rallyists) sa ibabaw ng police mobile ay isa na ring uri ng assault.Direct violent assault sa pagpalo at paghampas sa mobile patrol".

"Rally permit, permit program and specific area of protest. Ikaapat, hindi lahat ng iyan (rallyists) ay alam ang kanilang ipinaglalaban. Ang iba jan, ay bayaran!" he said. 

He questioned what America did to these IPs that caused their loathing for the nation.

"Sila ay ang legal na communistang grupo na lumalaban sa gobyerno at laban sa uri ng pamahalaan.Ang nasabing maximum tolerance ay napatupad dahilan sa nakalapit sila sa harap ng embahada matapos malampasan ang pangatlong barikada", he wrote.


"Ang aksyon ng mga pulis ay uri ng pagbawi ng control sa nasabing mobile patrol!" he added.

The man said that there should be no criminal liability on the part of the PNP, rather the outcomes of the turmoil should be considered as "collateral damage" in regaining control of the mobile.
