President Rodrigo Duterte on May 26 admitted that he had a bipolar disorder, asking the people not to immediately believe everything he says.
“Huwag ninyong paniwalaan ang lahat ng sinasabi ko,” he said.
“Ako, palabas-masok ako sa bipolar. One moment seryoso ako, one moment tatapunan ko kayo ng biro,” said the then presumptive president.
“Don’t believe my preposterous statements,” he added.
Duterte is now subject to criticisms for his bold statements and conflicting statements coming from his administration.
He recently told US president Barrack Obama to "go to hell" and told the European Union to choose "purgatory".
