Cynthia Patag to donate money to Matobato

Veteran actress and entertainer Cynthia Patag on Sunday inquired on how to donate money to self-confessed hitman Edgar Matobato.

Matobato is being kept in hiding after releasing strong statements against the Davao Death Squad in the Senate probe on extrajudicial killings linked with President Rodrigo Duterte's war on drugs.

Patag posted on her Facebook account, asking for instructions on how to contact the witness since she said that whe wanted to donate yet the groups in Facebook that call for such are not reliable.

"Where can I and other wealthy Facebook altruists donate money to Edgar Matobato? There are groups for that in FB but I don't know which ones are legitimate." the post read.

Netizens have commented on the post recommending that she goes to Manila Archbishop Tagle and Senator Trillanes, who know where Matobato is being kept.


It can be recalled that Patag once aggravated Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for criticizing the Duterte family, saying that the President was an abusive father.

“Cynthia Patag. Ayaw lagi panghilabot ug tao nga wa nanghilabot nimo. Debate ta girl? Nahan ka? Basin makalibang ka ug durian nimala ka." responded Duterte-Carpio.
