A witness who guaranteed to be a previous individual from the Davao Death Squad (DDS) dropped a bombshell at the Senate on Thursday, blaming President Duterte for requesting the bombarding of a mosque in 1993 and the killing of Muslims.
The witness, Edgar Matobato, was displayed by Senator Leila de Lima at the resumption of the becoming aware of the Senate advisory group on justice and human rights on the spate of killings in the nation.
Matobato said he was an individual from the Cafgu (Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit) until Duterte got to be Davao city leader in 1988 and enrolled him to join a gathering named the "Lambada boys." The group, he said, had just seven individuals including him.
When Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano takes his time to question the witness, it was transparent that the witness [Mr. Motabato] has inconsistencies.

It was also evident that the witness wouldn't answer some of the questions which concludes Sen. Alan to say that Mr. Motabato was not telling the truth.
"Halatang nagsisinungaling sya Madam chair," Sen. Cayetano to De Lima.
“Tinesting ko kung drawing lang or imbento at dinala ka dito para pabagsakin ang administrasyong ito,” senator Alan added said to the witness.
Earlier, Sen. Lacson also questions credibility of alleged Davao Death Squad member Matobato.
Lacson doubted Matobato’s statement that a certain terrorist suspect “Sali Makdum” was abducted in 2002 and was brought to the office of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Task Force (PAOCTF) supposedly to be killed.
“Wala nang PAOCTF noong 2002 kasi ako’y senador na nung 2001 at nawala na yung PAOCTF,” Lacson said.
Likewise, Lacson stressed that he cannot find any 'Sali Makdum' on the internet. "Kanina pa ako Google nang Google kay Sali Makdum ... gigil na gigil na ako wala akong makita. Baka non-existent yan."
