In a privilege speech, De Lima on Tuesday extended her forgiveness to witnesses who testified against her on the congress hearing regarding drug trade in The New Bilibid Prison.
She said that those witnesses were allegedly blackmailed and tortured to implicate her in the illegal drug operations.
“Ang hindi ko mapapatawad ay ang mga nasa likod ng pag-iimbento ng ebidensya laban sa akin. May araw rin kayo,” De Lima said.
De Lima said she received credible report that inmates and gang leaders were taken by the Special Action Force (SAF) deployed at the NBP for “overnight interrogation sessions in an effort to fabricate testimony."
"Prisoners are being selected and isolated just to be intimated into implicating me and to fit the President's narrative that I am a drug lord coddler, aside from being the most evil woman in the planet," she said.
The House of Representatives is currently holding an investigation on the alleged illegal drug trug inside the NBP.
