PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief Ronald Dela Rosa admitted Sunday that President Rodrigo Duterte is still angry for the terror attack in his home city on Friday, which killed 14 people and wounded at least 67 others.

Having known Duterte for a long time, Dela Rosa said the President's anger does not easily subside, particularly in such incidents.

“Expected natin na galit pa rin, galit sa pangyayari," he said.

"Kapag siya'y galit talagang pinapakita niya sa siya'y naiinis, siya'y nagagalit. Hindi ko na kailangan pang sabihin ang mga detalye," he added.

Dela Rosa was in Davao City since Saturday evening for a cabinet meeting to discuss the Davao blast.

Meanwhile, Dela Rosa said he instructed all the police commanders to not let their guards down and to always be ready for similar terror attacks.

"Dahil sa pangyayari tinamaan yung Davao so dapat prepared na rin ang lahat ng mga siyudad. We don't want to be panicky, but mas maganda yung sigurado tayo dahil ongoing ang ating mga operations," he said.

"They are able to do it here in Davao, why not in other cities?" Dela Rosa added.

On Monday, the military clashed with several members of Abu Sayyaf Group in Patikul Sulu which resulted in the killing of 15 soldiers.

Duterte thereafter instructed the Armed Forces of the Philippines to pour its military forces in the said area to pursue the terrorist group. AJRSP with Sunnex
