ASEAN leaders recognize Duterte's influence, political will and firmness

This was the statement of Presidential Spokesperson Abella to describe Duterte's first international meeting.

Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar also lauded Pres. Duterte's amazing appeal on the said summit, “President Duterte is a rock star not only in our country but also in other countries like Laos, Japan, and now the other Foreign Ministers and delegates have scrambled to get a selfie with our President. You have a President of the Republic who can stand and deliver.


President Duterte might be the main Chief Executive who gets cheered and hailed for just going through a city road, a b-ball field, or a lodging entryway. For the vast majority, the negligible thought that they go through the road where the President lives or has a dinner as of now sends shudders up their spines.
