Three more Dutertes to be born: Presidential daughter, Sara Duterte 7 weeks pregnant

Davao City Mayor and Presidential daughter Sara “Inday” Duterte-Carpio admitted on Friday she is seven weeks pregnant with triplets.

The lady mayor, through the City Information Office head Jeffrey Tupas, said at the City Conference Hall that behind the mayor’s absence in duty and numerous events in the city is her pregnancy.


"I hope our thanksgiving this year will be happy. And on this happy note, I would also like to share with you the news that I am pregnant and cannot join you in the merrymaking activities," Duterte-Carpio said in a statement.

She also admitted that her “multifetal” pregnancy caused her having hard time with symptoms.

But the lady mayor assured Dabawenyos that her pregnancy will not hamper her responsibility in Davao City. She vowed to continue working until the time allowed by the doctors. 

Duterte-Carpio, due to her sensitive condition, is advised not to attend crowded events to lessen the chances of acquiring infections. The mayor is presently working at home, and is not confined in a hospital.

"I may be physically weak but rest assured that I am on top of the situation here in our city," the mayor added.
The 38-year old lady mayor is married to lawyer Manases Carpio with daughter Sharky (seven years old) and son Stingray (three years old).

It can be recalled that Duterte-Carpio was no show during her father and President Rodrigo Duterte's first State of the Nation Address last June 30 as per advised by her physicians.

The lady mayor filed for a leave from June 1 until July 22 and had his brother Vice Mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte as acting mayor. AJRSP
