On Monday, Ozamis Mayor Reynaldo “Aldong” Parojinog, along with his daughter Vice Mayor Nova Princess Parojinog and his son Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog, turned over all their high-powered firearms to the Ozamiz City Police Station.

Sixteen firearms in totality were deposited after PNP Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa revoked the licenses of their firearms.


Out of the 16, 13 were owned by the mayor while three were by the councillor. Meanwhile, the vice mayor’s was reported to be lost in Camp Crame.

However, Mayor Parojinog has yet to surrender one short firearm, according to Misamis Occidental Provincial Director Senior Superintendent Edgar Daniel.

The mayor’s security escorts were also ordered by Regional Director Chief Superintendent Noel Constantino to report to their respective stations.

Mayor Parojinog expressed their compliance to do what is required of them so that they could clear their names. He also reiterated his support for President Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs despite losing their operational and administrative control and supervision of the city’s police. ASCS
