President Rodrigo R. Duterte bared on Monday late evening, August 8 that more names linked to drug industry will be publicly declared soon..

Duterte said that another round of purge in the government, a cleansing process, will be pushed as many people, mostly policemen and government officials, are dragged in the drug industry.

“Yes marami pa, we are in the process of validation, kasi pagdating sa akin from the intelligence community there will reevaluation, pag kontento na ako, yun na yun, (Yes, there is more, we are in the process of validation, when it (intel data) reaches to me there will be reevaluation, when I’m contented, that will be it.)” he said.


Names, the President said is of Barangay captains, prosecutors, local officials and police, among others.

“There will be a purging, without declaring Martial Law I will cleanse this government,” Duterte said.

 “Stop it and report, gusto niyo mabuhay? Gusto ko rin mabuhay, kayo may pamilya? Ako rin may pamilya, mamili kayo, kayong mga local officials, 600,000 Filipinos na inutil, kayo ang may kagagawan niyan, yan ang ginawa ninyo sa bayan. Sweldado kayo ng bayan, ang buwis na binabayad sa inyo galling sa pawis ng bawat Pilipino tapos ipagbili ninyo ang bayan ninyo? Yan ang mga taong gusto kong patayin, because its treason actually, (Stop it and report, you want to live? I also want to live. You have families? I also have mine, you choose. To those local officials and policemen involved in this problem, we have now over 600,000 Filipinos involved in drugs, useless, you let this all happened. You are paid by the government through taxes paid by the people from their own sweat from working hard, and this? These are the persons I want to kill because its treason actually,)” Duterte added.

Duterte emphasized that involved individuals should surrender as soon as possible.

“Do not commit a mistake of surrendering then afterwards still playing the game because I will know. I have enough government men in the field to monitor you, the mayors, vice mayors, councilors, etc,” he said.

The President further explained that it was apparent that the reason behind why the numbers of individuals involved in illegal drugs ballooned to such huge number was individuals in position (Government and public) such as Mayors, police officers, Judges, prosecutors, businessmen and even down to Brgy. Captains were playing around to make the industry bigger.

“Bakit umabot ng 600,000? Kasi lahat involved, may judge, mayor, police, piskal, konsehal, brgy captains, hindi aabot ng ganito kung walang naglaro, (Why it reached to 600,000? Because all involved include Judges, Mayors, police, Prosecutor, Councilors, Brgy Captains. It will not be like this if none of them played this,)” he said. AJRSP
