Tarpaulins protesting killings can be seen outside the Bacolod San Sebastian Cathedral, with “THOU SHALL NOT KILL” printed in bold, red letters.

Below of such is a list of other acts that are considered by the church as form of killings: drugs, crimes, corruption, poverty, artificial contraceptives, abortion, and summary execution.

According to Rev. Fr. Felix Pasquin, Rector of the church, the Diocese decided to display the banners during the spate of killings in the country and to remind the public—not necessarily particular personalities or government agencies—of the church’s stand against murder.

They are planning to post the tarpaulins along the street for a long period of time, so that more people will see their message.

The Diocese has also gained attention in 2013 when they posted a tarpaulin with the message Team Patay, Team Buhay which included a list of names of some senatorial candidates who are in favour of and against the RH bill. ASCS
