Because of another controversial comment by Senator and Eat Bulaga host Tito Sotto, netizens have been bombarding him for his sexist and misogynistic remark during one of the segments of the noontime show.

He implied that it was the woman’s fault that she was harassed by her friends while she was drunk by saying, “Kababae mong tao pa-shot shot ka?”

Jose Manalo, who was also interviewing her, added, “Anosuotmo? Naka-shorts ka no?”

Manalo then folded his shorts, which earned fits of laughter from the audience.
Netizens were quick to call him out for promoting rape culture and victim-blaming, which is an immensely shameful act considering that he is a senator.

It can be remembered that Sotto had also been under fire for other issues like his alleged plagiarism of a blog post and defunding the RH bill. Disheartening instances like this just make one wonder how did we deserve someone like him in the Senate. This is exactly why the Philippines is a regressing country. | ASCS - FNPH
