Rep. Bayani Fernando defends Duterte on his ‘shame campaign’ against drug pushers, users
On a TV segment Get it Straight With Daniel Razon, Marikina City 1st District Representative Bayani Fernando reiterates the effectiveness of ‘shame campaign’.
“Shame has become the only thing that puts us into order,” Fernando said.
When asked of his opinion regarding the public name-dropping of generals allegedly linked to illegal drug activities, he explained that is must have been a tactic of the President in order to further put pressure on those involved.
This way, he said, they will be forced to surrender give more intelligence to the authorities.
Additionally, he explained that it might hasten the process of catching the drug-users and pushers alike in the country, especially the high-profile ones.
