PNoy's Presidential Spokesman: Aquino ready to turn over power to Duterte as president

On June 30, Filipinos will witness a presidential inaugural custom that goes back to the primary Philippine president after World War II. 

President Benigno Aquino III will exchange control then to President-choose Rodrigo Duterte as the nation's new head of state. 

"Handang-handa na siyang lumisan sa araw ng Huwebes, ika-30 ng Hunyo," Presidential Spokesman Sonny Coloma said Thursday. 

Coloma said Aquino and Duterte will meet before the last takes his vow as the nation's sixteenth President. 

Taking after convention that was begun by President Manuel Roxas, the approaching President gets the occupant President from Malacañang Palace.

Amid the move from the Commonwealth Government under the Americans to the new Republic of the Philippines on July 4, 1946, Roxas brought President Sergio Osmeña from Malacañan and after that, together, continued to the venue of his introduction. This motion shows the congruity of government. 

On account of President Aquino, his takeoff from Malacañang joined by Duterte, marks the formal demonstration of leaving office by the active President. To show this, Aquino will dive the primary stairs of the Palace for the last time as president.

"Sa aking batid ay maoobseerbahan naman ang tradisyon na ito at magkakaron ng pagkakataon na magkita si Pangulong Aquino at si President-choose Duterte bago manumpa sa tungkulin ang bagong Pangulo," Coloma said. 

Coloma said Aquino will leave the nation with an enhanced economy supported by his organization in the course of recent years. 

"Ang pinakamatingkad na natamo natin ay yung taguri sa atin na 'Asia's rising star' mula sa dating tawag na 'Sick man of Asia,'" Coloma said.
