Andanar: Allergic sa sosyalan si Duterte kaya walang Vin d’Honneur after inauguration

Keeping to his campaign guarantee of a straightforward inaguration, President-elect Rodrigo Duterte will get rid of the standard Vin d'Honneur for the strategic corps after the inaugural function on June 30. 

Amid a press preparation in Davao City on Wednesday evening, approaching Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said that rather than the normally rich Vin d'Honneur, Duterte will rather have a discretionary gathering after his initiation at the Malacañang Palace toward the evening. 

"To the extent the rundown [of Duterte's activities] is concerned, the last action, it's not even a Vin d'Honneur kasi Vin d'Honneur sosyalan iyan eh. Wine, champagne, mga ganyan eh. It's known as the political gathering," he clarified.

"Bakit binago? Since the President is a simple man," Andanar included. 

Andanar rushed to reject suspicions that the strategic gathering will have the same project and menu as the standard Vin d'Honneur. 

"It's simply talk, I assume, becoming acquainted with each other. Try not to expect any champagne popping. Try not to expect any caviar or cheddar, blue cheddar. Expect durian," he said. 

Andanar kidded that the political corps can BYOB or "bring your own particular baon" if the Presidential Security Group (PSG) will permit it.
