Why would four police officers sit in a meeting at a hotel with a close staff of a presidential candidate?

The Philippine National Police (PNP) authority pledged yesterday to have that question replied by the four high-positioning police authorities seen meeting with a associate individual from Liberal Party (LP) standard-bearer Mar Roxas at Novotel in Cubao, Quezon City, last Saturday.

Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesperson, affirmed that Director Generoso Cerbo Jr., presently the leader of the Directorate for Intelligence; Chief Supt. Renier Idio, leader of the Police Regional Office 2 (PRO2 in Cagayan Valley); Chief Supt. Bernardo Diaz, leader of the PRO6 (Western Visayas); and Chief Supt. Ronald Santos, agent local executive for Administration of the PRO4-A (CALABARZON), will need to clarify.

"Our office will formally correspond with the concerned officers to have them answer the issues. We will give you redesigns once we get their particular answer," Mayor told.

Additionally in the reported meeting was resigned police general was Marcelo Garbo, the previous No. 2 man in the PNP until his retirement a month ago.
