Governor Jose Ma. Zubiri made the support on Friday, April 1, amid the area's Kaamulan Festival.
"This is the order of the general population of Bukidnon," Zubiri said.
The Zubiri patriarch said "the choice to support Duterte was come to after a progression of meetings with nearby authorities and their constituents."
Two weeks before his underwriting, Zubiri called a meeting went to by 5, 200 nearby authorities. He said 68 percent of the neighborhood pioneers bolster Duterte's appointment.
"We are supporting him notwithstanding the way that he doesn't have the apparatus or funds–unlike alternate competitors. Sariling sikap itong amin (We are helping ourselves here)," Zubiri some assistance with saying.
The representative said they understand that Duterte's absence of assets was because of his "principled dismissal of assistance from known political funders."
"He wouldn't like to ask favors from very rich people in Manila and we understand that, we get that," he said.
Amid a discourse at a battle rally in Bukidnon, Duterte expressed gratitude toward Zubiri and his constituents for their backing.
The tough talking leader displayed his peace plan for the Philippines.
"In the event that I win, I will converse with the dissident groups–the Moro Islamic Liberation Front, the Moro National Liberation Front, and the New People's Army," he said. "I heard that my teacher, Jose Maria Sison of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, needs to go home in the event that I get chose."
Bukidnon is the fourth most vote-rich territory in Mindanao with more than 760,000 enlisted voters.
