Duterte camp on P211M bank account: It's a lie. Completely fabricated.

On April 28, 2016, Duterte's spokesperson Pete Lavina had an interview with Karen Davila in ANC Head Start segment. 

Lavina answered the allegation being thrown to Duterte regarding the P211 million deposited to the bank account of the tough-talking mayor.

According to Lavina, the said issue is a lie and completely fabricated. "He just has P6M in savings", he added.

Furthermore, he said " BPI must issue a statement about this because it will also damage their credibility."

He also mentioned that Duterte's life is an open book in Davao and he has been repeatedly asked about this and he always says his savings is only P6M.

Karen Davila asked what will Duterte be like as a President. Lavina answered, "The mayor will be very well-behaved when he becomes president. He has to absorb and practice the demands and protocols."

Lavina also clarified about the issue on paying revolutionary tax to NPA. "Not true - Duterte will stop it. He was taken out of context."

Lastly, Davila asked if who will Duterte's finance secretary be. "Duterte will consult the business community in appointing his economic team," told Lavina.
